Vitamin B1 forms the co-enzyme co-carboxylase which catalyses the decarboxylation of pyruvic acid and other keto-acids.
Vitamin B6 is a constituent of the enzyme system which is concerned with transamination and decarboxylation of amino-acids. Vitamin B12 in addition to its haematinic and anabolic functions fulfils an important role in the treatment of neurological disorders.
