Over the years, multiple sources have claimed Apple was working on devices with folding displays , with the first expected to be an entirely new iPhone model. While some smartphone manufacturers, like Samsung, have already embraced the concept of foldable smartphone screens, with the Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Flip, Apple has yet to enter the market.
